It has been 44 years since we started our history, driven by beauty, entrepreneurship, care for people and nature. We believe in the beauty of a clean and better future, and that is why we care about the environment, seeking increasingly eco-efficient innovations and processes. That is how ESG principles became part of who we are.

Today, thinking about the future, we understand our responsibility as agents of transformation. We are giants in the retail trade and are growing ever bigger in direct selling. In the Boticário Group there are thousands of us engaged in the same purpose of transforming the world through beauty.
The acronym ESG refers to Environmental, Social & Governance. When looking at our history, we realized this tendency has always been linked to our mission and operation, respecting environmental, social, and administrative standards.
Today, when thinking about the future, we understand our responsibility as transformation agents, bringing together in Boticário Group thousands of people engaged in the same purpose of transforming the world through beauty and caring for the environment, taking social and environmental responsibilities through the best governance practices adopted by our business.

HOW DOES ESG CONNECT WITH BOTICÁRIO GROUP?
When we talk about ESG, it is not only about the environment. In each stage of our chain, actions are developed focusing on the customer, society, business, and the planet, which are important points of the ESG principles in the company.
- Environmental: The first pillar of ESG refers to environmental practices and our actions – sustainable product development, packaging and solid waste recall programs, testing and animal welfare, and 100% renewable energy in our factories.
- Social: This pillar represents the way Boticário Group relates to its suppliers, employees, customers, and stakeholders as a whole. In social, we deal with themes such as diversity and inclusion, relationship with the community, development of resellers and franchisees, training, and qualification.
- Governance: When talking about governance, the Group adopts the best corporate management practices, like diversity on the board, transparency, crisis management and compliance, ethics and conduct, product safety and quality, and information security.
We want and need to do more. For being aware of our responsibility and always seeking responsible success, we have established 16 Commitments for the Future, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), which must be met by 2030 and deal with important dimensions of our process production and our relationship with the environment, society and people.
